Denne linen brukes i lav-, medium- og høyspenningslinjer.
Aluminiumets høye korrosjonsbestandighet gjør Al-linen til et godt valg i kystområder.
På grunn av sin relativt lave styrke i forhold til vekten har Al-Linen  begrenset bruk i overføringslinjer og  hvor lange lengder ofte er brukt.
Ytterligere korrosjonsbeskyttelse kan oppnås ved å fette linen.
