Amokabel triples bare conductor capacity

Strengthening delivery reliability for critical infrastructure

At Amokabel, we are taking the next step in our power segment by tripling our capacity for bare conductors. This investment is part of our long-term product strategy and further strengthens our position as a full-service supplier to the energy sector.

As demands for resilient power grids continue to increase, the need for reliable access to critical components is growing. By building significantly greater capacity within the bare conductor segment particularly for distribution and transmission networks we are creating the conditions for high delivery reliability, shorter lead times, and increased flexibility, both in Sweden and internationally. The expansion will be implemented progressively and will be fully established by 2028.

– “We see a clear need for more secure supply in a market characterized by uncertainty. By strengthening our capacity, we can reduce risk exposure for our customers in projects that are critical to energy supply,” says Peter Eriksson, CEO of Amo Kraftkabel AB.

The increased capacity enables us to meet growing demand from grid operators, contractors, and industrial customers, while also strengthening Europe’s supply resilience within critical energy infrastructure.
With increased Swedish production, high environmental standards, and full traceability, we offer a solution that meets future regulatory requirements and sustainability targets, reduces dependency on global supply chains, and contributes to a more robust energy supply.

For our customers, this means improved delivery reliability, shorter lead times, and greater predictability. For Sweden and Europe, it means strengthening domestic capacity, reducing vulnerability, and enabling electrification, economic growth, and the ability to maintain security and achieve climate targets.

– “This is not just about capacity, but about taking responsibility at a time when energy is central to societal development. We are building on our experience to remain a long-term, reliable, and complete partner for energy infrastructure,” continues Peter Eriksson.
