Renewable Energy

Amokabel has made long-term investments in local production of certified renewable electricity. In 2024, the total energy output from our own solar, wind, and hydroelectric facilities amounted to 14 000 000 kWh. This covers a significant portion of our annual energy needs, although not yet the full consumption.

Today, we are fully self-sufficient in green electricity generated from our own renewable energy sources, producing more renewable energy annually than our operations consume. Although energy production and consumption occur at different times, this means that, over the course of a year, we cover our entire electricity demand through our own renewable energy generation. This reflects our long-term commitment to sustainability and our active contribution to the transition towards a fossil-free energy system.

To optimize energy use further, we have also invested in battery storage, enabling us to reduce peak loads and ease pressure on the grid during high-demand periods. This creates both environmental and financial value and strengthens our resilience in a rapidly changing energy landscape.
