About Us

Here you find information about Amokabel AB

Who we are

The Amokabel success story began in 1992 with the founding of its first company. By consistently focusing on technological development, modernization, and customer-specific solutions, we have rapidly grown into a profitable and successful international cable manufacturer.

Today, the group includes several companies dedicated to cable manufacturing and distribution, as well as renewable energy production from solar, wind, and hydropower. Our headquarters and main factory in Alstermo cover a total production area of 45,000 m².

Global Expansion

While we initially served only the local market, the majority of our sales now come from exports. With our own sales offices and an extensive global distribution network, we are present worldwide. Our cables are used at some of the world’s largest airports, and our unique covered conductors electrify several countries in Asia. Consumer-packaged installation cables are available in most retail chains across Scandinavia.

Our Vision

Our vision is clear – to shape the future of cables through innovation. At Amokabel, we are dedicated to inventing, designing, and manufacturing cables that meet tomorrow’s demands for performance, safety, and sustainability. By working closely with our customers, we tailor solutions to ensure the right cable, packaging, and system for each application.

Innovation also defines our sustainability efforts. With major investments in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower, we now generate more green electricity than we consume. At the same time, we remain deeply committed to our local community – as co-owners of healthcare services and as a major sponsor of local sports. Through the founders’ foundation, significant resources are dedicated to supporting regional development, business, education, and community well-being.

Amokabel – innovations in cable.

Flexibility and short lead times

We run our business based on the following guiding principles:

Innovation

First and foremost, our business is characterised by innovation. Everything starts with an understanding of the needs of customers or consumers. This insight guides innovation efforts on how we can improve existing products or satisfy new needs.

Flexibility

The need for cable is constantly changing and modern times require new solutions. Structures, conductors, plastics and packaging are evaluated constantly and are continuously changing.

Quickness

Unlike our competitors, we can produce in a short time and according to specific customer volumes. We have low requirements for minimum volumes and we can easily reset production for a quick delivery.
