Climate Actions

Learn about our initiatives to combat climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across our operations.

Climate Action as Business Priority

At Amokabel, we view climate action as a business-critical priority—one where we have both the responsibility and the opportunity to make a real difference. Our climate strategy is based on science, with clear targets and robust systems for monitoring and follow-up.

In 2025, we are initiating a comprehensive climate assessment in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, using 2024 as the base year for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. This will allow us to map and calculate emissions from our own operations and purchased energy. Scope 3 emissions—covering our supply chain, transportation, and product use—will be included from 2026 onward.

To enable a data-driven and transparent approach, we have implemented the sustainability platform Position Green. It provides the tools to collect, analyze, and monitor emissions across our operations. It also lays the foundation for goal-setting aligned with international frameworks such as the Science Based Targets initiative and the EU’s CSRD.

In 2025, we are also conducting a double materiality assessment to identify which sustainability topics are most relevant to our operations and stakeholders. The results will form the basis for setting both short-term and long-term goals to further reduce our impact and focus our efforts where they can make the greatest difference.

By making our climate footprint visible, we strengthen internal governance while also increasing transparency and credibility with customers, partners, and investors.
