TEXILine Heli Twist Al DC EMC
The DNV-approved TEXILine Heli Twist Al DC EMC is a flexible shipboard power cable for fixed installations both indoors and outdoors, specially designed for DC applications in marine and offshore environments where EMC protection is critical.
It features flexible aluminium conductors in accordance with IEC 60228 class 5, ensuring smooth installation and easy connections. Each of the four single-core cables is fitted with a braided copper screen and an outer sheath before being helically twisted together. This construction ensures efficient heat transfer and higher current-carrying capacity per conductor, while providing reliable EMC shielding against electromagnetic interference.
The conductors are double XLPE insulated, with insulation thickness rated for 1.8/3kV AC, making the cable suitable for systems exposed to DC ripples or requiring higher voltage classes. Lightweight, durable, and cost-efficient, the TEXILine Heli Twist Al DC EMC is ideal for narrow installation spaces and for operation under the most demanding marine and offshore conditions.
