It was established out of a strong desire to secure a long-term and stable future for the group's presence in Alstermo. The reason for transferring ownership to the foundation was to ensure that Amokabel would remain deeply rooted in the local community, even for future generations.
By choosing this ownership structure, Amokabel has laid the foundation for a long-term strategy in which both the company and the surrounding community can continue to grow and develop together.
Those eligible to apply for funds are primarily individuals residing in the former Älghult parish, followed by those in Uppvidinge Municipality, Kronoberg County, and other parts of Småland—in that order of priority.
Funds can be applied for by both associations and private individuals (not limited companies).
Funds can be applied for the following purposes:
Promote the region's business sector through contributions to development projects
Promote the region's youth and/or sports activities
Promote education in electrical engineering/electronics
Provide grants or scholarships for education and/or skills development, preferably to individuals with ties to Amokabel AB
Promote environmental work with a focus on sustainability
