Back to Employee Stories From Insight to Development – Building Bridges Between Departments June 05, 2025 To build a greater understanding of each other’s work and the responsibilities we have in our different roles within the company, colleagues from our sales department recently spent practice days with machine operators in our production. This is the first step in a larger initiative where we will also invite colleagues from production to spend time with our sales team, giving them insight into what a typical day looks like for a salesperson. By experiencing each other’s daily work in practice, we create greater understanding, smoother collaboration, and better communication between our teams. The initiative is also part of our work with internal competence development. By opening up for more knowledge exchange between departments, we strengthen both the overall perspective and the shared understanding of how we together create value for our customers – from the first quotation to the finished product. We believe that greater understanding leads to stronger collaboration, and that the best ideas often emerge when you step outside your everyday work and see the business from a new perspective. That’s why we asked some of our colleagues from the sales department to share their reflections after their days in production.“One thing I take with me is how important it is to be clear and concrete in the information that is communicated forward, especially in roles where information is passed on to other parts of the organization. I found the practice days very rewarding. It was extremely valuable to get insight into the daily work in production, to see how the processes actually function, and to understand the importance of having good dialogue between departments.”— Stellan Ström, Team Leader Sales
