I Learn Something New Every Day

Elias Karlsson works with IT and electrical support in Amokabel’s maintenance department. He completed his internship at Amokabel during his upper secondary school studies, where he attended the Electrical and Energy Programme with a focus on computer communications. After graduating, he was offered a position at the company.

“My role mainly involves handling IT-related tasks and documentation related to electrical and access systems. I help our employees when their computers are not working or when something needs to be installed or updated. It can be anything from activating an access tag to installing a printer,” says Elias.

What are your biggest challenges at work?

“IT can be quite complex to work with, so sometimes problems arise that really make you think and explore different possible solutions. Sometimes it works immediately, and sometimes you have to try different approaches before you find the right one.”

What is the best part about your job?

“That my role is so varied because I get to do many different things. I like coming to work without knowing exactly what will happen during the day.”
