Sofia Keeps Logistics Running Smoothly

With a background as a hairdresser, Sofia Johannesson decided to change careers completely and joined Amokabel’s logistics department one year ago. It’s a decision she has never regretted, as she enjoys combining practical and administrative tasks.

“In my role in the logistics department, my colleagues and I have the overall responsibility for efficiently compiling and packing orders. I handle incoming and outgoing deliveries and book and coordinate transports, which requires accuracy and planning. It’s important that we keep delivery times, as this contributes to satisfied and loyal customers,” says Sofia.

“Nothing is impossible”

“Amokabel as an employer is truly attentive. They show appreciation for their employees and are very solution-oriented. No questions are too small and nothing is impossible. We are a really great team working together. There is a strong sense of community within the company, and that’s what makes it enjoyable to go to work every day,” she says.

What are your biggest challenges at work?

“I would say my biggest challenges are improving the efficiency of packing goods and ensuring that deliveries are made on time. The goal is to reduce the use of pallet space while optimizing transport costs, taking both economic and environmental factors into account. At the same time, we strive to ensure that deliveries arrive punctually. This requires careful planning and coordination to meet both financial goals and time requirements, while also considering sustainability aspects.”

What is the best part about your job?

“I would say the variety in my tasks is what really makes my job special. Every day is unique and there are always new challenges to face. We also have a fantastic team in the logistics department. We genuinely enjoy working together and have a great team spirit. Being part of such a good team makes the workday both rewarding and fun.”
